Built for horizontal dock faces, it carries a tear-shaped profile measuring 9″H × 6″T (thickness inclusive of the ½″ track) and spreads docking impact across a wide face so neither the hull nor the dock takes the hit. Its larger size suits the high-contact zones found on residential docks and commercial marina slips alike. Where hanging fenders slip, deflate, or end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, the Standard Fender installs securely along the dock face for always-on protection. It doesn’t move out of position, doesn’t deflate, and doesn’t rely on crew placement. The tear-shaped face keeps low-freeboard vessels from sliding underneath and distributes energy laterally, making it well suited to heavier boats and exposed conditions — impact is absorbed, not deflected, with no trampoline effect. How it’s built Every Standard Fender uses the same three-part modular construction. The inner core is high-density 2# XLPE closed-cell foam that buffers the boat against the dock and won’t deflate, pop, or collapse with repeated use. Surrounding it is a UV- and abrasion-resistant PVC-coated marine fabric cover that stands up to sun, salt spray, friction, and impact while keeping a clean, finished appearance.
