Sail Newport has invested in three different sized fendering options from Slammer Marine over the last five years. We chose the fendering because of the installation process being far more durable than their competitors as well as the size range options of the fenders. We have several hundred, if not thousands of sailboat renters and students making landings on our docks throughout the year. Suffice to say our boats take a beating! However, we can quantify the savings in repairing the small nicks and dings or the odd major fiberglass jobs caused by inadvertent “hard” landings on our floating docks! Renters and students don’t always make perfect landings! Slammer Marine fendering has literally saved us thousands of dollars a year in fiberglass repair.
